SPEEDA Announces New Management Structure to Scale Growth in Asia

TOKYO, 11 July, 2016 -- Today SPEEDA, Asia's largest industry and corporate information platform, announced a new management structure to scale growth and support the needs of its business operations in Asia.

SPEEDA announced the appointment of Osamu Iwasawa as Managing Director & Head of Asia Business, Shin Ito as Head of Greater China, and Guan Jia Ng as Head of Southeast Asia. Together, they will be responsible for spearheading SPEEDA's growth and operations across Asia.

This news comes on the heels of several key milestones for SPEEDA over the past 24 months, including establishing operations in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Sri Lanka, being awarded one of Forbes Japan's best 10 startups, and raising JPY 472 million in Series C funding.

"SPEEDA is used by professionals across a wide variety of financial institutions and consulting firms. Since launching our international operations in 2014, we have established research centres in Singapore, Shanghai, and as of this year, Sri Lanka, in order to satisfy a more diverse range of customers’ needs. We now have firms using SPEEDA in over 10 countries across Greater China and the Southeast Asia region," says Ryosuke Niino, UZABASE Co-CEO and co-founder. "Shin's proven track record in the Greater China region and Guan's experience as a key member of UZABASE Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.'s explosive growth, as well as Osamu's leadership in East Asia to date will allow our business in Asia to scale to the next level."
