Uzabase, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Takafumi Sato, former President and Representative Director of Sukesan Co., Ltd., as Senior Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer effective April 1, 2026.

Newly appointed Senior Executive Officer and COO Takafumi Sato brings a distinguished track record of leadership to this mission. During his decade at Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., Mr. Sato served as a change agent directly under top management. Most recently, as President and Representative Director of Sukesan Co., Ltd., he spearheaded the dramatic expansion of the Sukesan Udon brand, significantly increasing its corporate value.
Leveraging his wealth of experience, Mr. Sato is expected to transform our management systems and drive the organizational transformation necessary for Uzabase to forge a new path in the era of generative AI.

Takafumi Sato began his career at Sony Corporation in 1997, working in sales and business planning, before joining Boston Consulting Group in 2001, where he managed projects focused on corporate strategy and new business launches. In 2006, he joined Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., where he acted as a change agent supporting corporate growth in his role as a Group Officer, overseeing management transformation, HR, and store operations. Following his tenure as CEO of MP Kitchen Co., Ltd. starting in 2016, Mr. Sato was appointed President and Representative Director of Sukesan Co., Ltd. in March 2018. While staying true to the brand’s heritage, he spearheaded a “second founding” of the company, expanding its footprint across Japan and leveraging digital transformation to boost productivity. In April 2026, Mr. Sato was appointed Senior Executive Officer and COO of Uzabase.

I am honored to be joining Uzabase as Senior Executive Officer and COO. While this marks a transition to a new industry, my core mission remains the same: to deliver genuine value to as many people as possible. It was Uzabase’s unique mission, culture, and, of course, people that ultimately inspired me to make this leap and take on this challenge with the team.
Generative AI is fundamentally reshaping how the world interacts with business intelligence. To pioneer a path through this transformation, my immediate priority is to immerse myself in our operations and organization.
