Uzabase Issues Sustainability Report 2025

Uzabase, Inc. (hereafter Uzabase) is pleased to announce the release of its Sustainability Report 2025, outlining progress on the company’s ongoing sustainability efforts aimed at realizing its Purpose: “Awaken a world of play in business, with our insights.”

Uzabase’s Approach to Sustainability

Uzabase believes that a truly sustainable world redefines the essence of business. Leveraging the robust business data infrastructure developed since its founding in 2008, the company continues to advance this vision through two core offerings: the business intelligence platform Speeda, which enhances users’ “business agility,” and NewsPicks, one of Japan’s largest social business media platforms.

Following its delisting from the Tokyo Stock Exchange in February 2023, facilitated by a tender offer from The Carlyle Group, Uzabase has continued to prioritize transparency and non-financial disclosure. The release of the Sustainability Report 2025 reaffirms the company’s dedication to sustainability initiatives and sharing related progress with society at large.

Concepts Behind the Report

Building upon last year, this year’s report focuses on the concepts of trust, progress, and synergy. It highlights several transformative developments at Uzabase—the new executive structure supported by a team-based management approach, new product development leveraging generative AI, and an internal shift to embrace AI.

Highlights of Sustainability Report 2025

・CEO Interview
An in-depth exploration with CEO Yusuke Inagaki, covering major changes and efforts toward relisting, such as the impact on the company produced by changes in management and executive structure and the release of “Speeda AI Agent,” a new product utilizing generative AI.

・Progress on Six Material Issues
Updates from executive officers on the progress of Uzabase’s six material issues with a particular focus on initiatives for issues that have seen significant changes over the past year. “New business model fusing SaaS and media” has been removed from the list of material issues following a reassessment of their importance and relevance. In addition, the material issues previously overseen by Mr. Inagaki have been assigned to new executive officers, who are now driving them forward under the new organizational structure.

・Enhanced ESG Data
In the Environment domain, we have begun phased disclosure of Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions. In the Social domain, we have added metrics related to our new DEIB Commitment, including the percentage of senior positions held by women and the percentage of women aspiring to management positions. In the Governance domain, we have disclosed the number of reports received through our formal whistleblowing system as well as informal consultation channels.
