My Dream

I Strive to Further Develop the Business Eco-system in Asia so that It Becomes More Mature and Transpoarent.

Prior to joining UZABASE, I was working in the Deals Advisory team of one of the Big-4 accounting firms. I have always been interested in entrepreneurship. When I was presented the chance to work directly with Ryosuke Niino, the co-founder of UZABASE, who relocated to Singapore at that time, I knew that it would be a tremendous growth opportunity for me, both professionally and personally, and I simply could not let it slip.

At UZABASE, I started in a sales role and my responsibilities later extended to product management and partnerships. I was eventually tasked to head the Singapore office for the expansion of the SPEEDA business in Southeast Asia. This year, I am spearheading the development of a new product/service to further spur the growth of UZABASE in markets outside of Japan.

Everyone knows that Asia is a region with exciting growth prospects. However, the business ecosystem is plagued by transparency issues due to information gaps and fragmentation. People resort to word of mouth to evaluate prospective vendors, customers, and employers; while this is effective, it may not be efficient. My dream is to have a mature and transparent business eco-system in Asia where good companies are being rewarded and mediocre/bad companies are being pushed to improve and evolve. My definition of good/bad company is straight forward; aside from the quality of products/services, people value effort and trustworthiness, and acting in good faith reflects that. In this Information Age, data is the new oil, and given the domain we are in, we possess plenty of that. I believe by combining such data with community knowledge and insights, we can create a powerful business information platform that empowers users to make better business decisions.

UZABASE is a great platform with smart, friendly colleagues as well as entrepreneurial, supportive management with very flat hierarchy, if you are driven enough, you will achieve your aspiration in this company.

Message from Ng Guan Jia

There are other companies with bigger pantries, as well as better compensation plans and perks. However, if you are entrepreneurial and you want a platform to unleash your talents, UZABASE is a great career choice, not to mention that you get to work with a bunch of cool, smart, and friendly people.
