Graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in 2012. Like most Arts graduates, floated around aimlessly for a while before joining UZABASE as a part-timer in 2013.
This is mostly thanks to Midori, who was my interviewer at the time (and later my manager). I really connected with her energy and passion and I could see that she genuinely cared about the people around her. I guessed that if other UZABASE employees were anything like her then it would be an amazing environment to work in. Turns out I was right!
I work in the Partner Team, which is in charge of handling outsourcing with our partner company in Mumbai. My responsibilities include quality checks for our ASEAN/India industry reports, which involves close communication with analysts in India, my report check partner-in-crime Dharish from the Singapore office, and finally my teammates here in Tokyo, who handle the statistics-related tasks. I'm also involved with marketing activities for our English-speaking prospects, coordinating with members in the Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo offices.
I don't have any one moment in particular -- working with such an amazing group of people is reward in itself. I never would have thought it, but I've met some of my best friends at UZABASE.
To gain a better understanding of the world, society, human beings in general. Work-wise, I hope I can contribute to the success of SPEEDA outside of Japan by helping to improve the English-language platform's presentation and eloquency of expression. I'd also like to continue working with my colleagues here and overseas to boost SPEEDA's exposure to English-speaking audiences.
FLEX-TIME. Thanks to UZABASE's flexible working environment I can afford to have a life outside work, which keeps me focused and motivated.
I spend almost all of my free time writing in a cafe somewhere. Other than that: hanging out with friends, exploring nature, playing video games or clubbing.
